Berry Street School is a specialist independent secondary school that supports students at risk of disengaging from education. We offer: Years 7–10 adapted Victorian Curriculum Years 11–12 VCE VM and VPC Our classrooms are small, flexible and deeply relational. Our work is grounded in the Berry Street Education Model (BSEM), trauma-informed practice and strong partnerships with families and support services, ensuring learning is safe, relational and responsive to each young person’s needs. Wellbeing Worker As a Wellbeing Worker, you will support students’ social, emotional and educational engagement. Working alongside teachers and wellbeing staff, you will help create calm, inclusive classrooms and support students to regulate, participate and remain connected to learning. You will: Provide wellbeing and engagement support to students Assist with Individual Education Plans and Ready to Learn Plans Implement trauma-informed strategies using the Berry Street Education Model Support attendance, engagement and positive behaviour Liaise with families, staff and external services as needed. About You You are calm, compassionate and relationship-focused, with: Experience supporting young people with complex social, emotional or behavioural needs Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to build positive relationships while maintaining clear boundaries Confidence supporting student engagement, regulation and participation in learning Commitment to trauma-informed, inclusive and culturally safe practice Ability to remain calm and solutions-focused in challenging situations What You’ll Receive Full Berry Street Education Model training Coaching, reflective supervision and professional growth Salary packaging (up to $15,900 meals/accommodation) 10 weeks paid parental leave Employee Assistance Program and well-being supports A team that has your back and a culture that genuinely cares Our Commitment Berry Street is a child-safe, inclusive organisation.
