**What You Will Be Doing**
The Intensive Recovery Team will focus on the provision of intensive therapeutic interventions for adult clients of the community mental health service identified as being at risk of recurring acute episodes and associated hospital admissions without more intensive therapeutic interventions.
The Social Worker on the team will play a pivotal role in a multidisciplinary team delivering intensive therapeutic interventions for adult clients of the community mental health service identified as being at risk of recurring acute episodes and associated hospital admissions without more intensive therapeutic interventions.
**What You Need**
We anticipate you will have:
- Social Work: Approved degree in social work with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
- Minimum two years post-qualifying professional experience in a hospital or related setting
- Clinical understanding of the treatment for mental illness provided in in-patient and community settings and working knowledge of community support services
- Excellent skills in comprehensive assessments, discharge planning and counselling
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and/ or students.
