The Opportunity For this role you will need good conversational skills and the ability to relate to and empathise with a broad range of people, including those with different lived experiences, abilities, and cultures. Red Cross will ensure you have training, ongoing support and access to other opportunities within the world’s largest humanitarian network. The Impact As a volunteer, you will help vulnerable people to feel safe and improve their social connection by listening, empathising, and providing them with a friendly voice. Where appropriate, you may provide information on relevant local services. You will have the opportunity to learn from many people’s diverse history and knowledge, as well as feeling the satisfaction of giving back to others.
