The role requires the design of power distribution (subdivision) projects including development of concept and detailed design scopes for design projects in both the Energex and Ergon regions of Queensland. This is a hands-on role which would suit a motivated professional who enjoys working within a close-knit team. **Key responsibilities**
- Designing Energex underground and overhead networks.
- Creating street lighting designs that adhere to Rate 2 and Council Rate 3 requirements.
- Developing concept and masterplans for subdivision projects.
- Collaborating with councils, Energex, internal Construction Project Managers, and design team members to meet project requirements.
- Planning and conducting necessary reviews, verifications, and validations, and incorporating their outcomes into the design.
- Interfacing with relevant authorities regarding design and construction parameters, permits, and approvals.
- Ensuring that the design complies with safety, environmental, construction, commissioning, and operating requirements, with support from our quality and RPEQ team.
**Skills & Experience**
- +1 year of experience in electrical project/design.
- Familiarity with power distribution networks.
- Previous exposure to AutoCAD and lighting software is advantageous.
- Capable of seamlessly integrating into both new and ongoing projects.
- Knowledge of applicable Australian and Queensland standards for electricity.
- Proficient in written and oral communication, complemented by competent computer skills in Microsoft Office packages (Project, Word, Excel, etc.).

**Salary**: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
