Nursing Unit Manager Position
As a key leader in our organization, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and managing the daily operations of our nursing unit. Your expertise and leadership skills will be instrumental in driving quality and safety initiatives, as well as developing strategies to improve patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage patient services and staff to ensure quality care, safety, and efficient unit operations.
* Coordinate patient flow and develop plans to address barriers to care, ensuring seamless transitions between departments.
* Motivate, manage, and develop nursing/midwifery staff to achieve high-quality patient care and foster a positive work environment.
* Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive organizational goals and objectives, leveraging expertise and resources to achieve optimal outcomes.
Requirements:
* Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Demonstrated relevant clinical nursing experience with postgraduate nursing qualifications in specialty or management
* Demonstrated ability to lead change and balance competing demands, exhibiting strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate team members and stakeholders
* Proven ability to assess nursing/resource requirements and utilization, driving resource allocation and optimization
