The opportunity
Join a well-established, innovative global business with a strong customer focus. You'll be part of a high-performing finance team, working closely with an experienced Finance Manager to keep day-to-day AP/AR running smoothly and support core month-end tasks. Initial 4-month contract with the potential to be extend, plus 1-day WFH after training.
Bonus: this role continues through Christmas/New Year, you'll have steady work and great exposure while many teams are quiet.
As the Finance Officer, your responsibilities will include:
- Process day-to-day Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable (invoices, payments, credit notes).
- Maintain vendor & customer accounts; follow up outstanding balances and resolve queries.
- Perform general ledger reconciliations and assist with month-end close.
- Maintain/update prepayments and accruals schedules for accurate reporting.
- Manage fixed assets (additions, disposals, depreciation, reconciliations).
- Complete bank reconciliations; ensure correct allocation of receipts and payments.
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and internal controls.
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:
- Minimum 2 years' end-to-end AP & AR experience (high-volume preferred).
- Experience with SAP (or a similar ERP).
- Solid attention to detail and accuracy with high-volume processing.
- Strong communication skills both internally and externally
