Role Summary and Responsibilities
The Account Manager (AM) Vaccines is responsible for the development of long‑term relationships with corporate accounts, Public Health Networks, Aged Care and EHS vaccine providers to identify and execute on growth opportunities beyond NIP and drive Pfizer vaccination uptake rate through strategic partnerships and programs. As the "General Manager" for the accounts, the AM leads and drives usage, uptake rates, profitable & sustainable growth, and commercial performance.
The AM should be proficient at planning and executing an effective relationship strategy and building/maintaining effective, long‑term business relationships at the senior executive level with key decision makers and influencers within each key account.
Key Areas of Focus
- Customer Relationship Development: lead and manage the long‑term, consultative senior executive Key Account relationship to become a trusted business advisor, extend relationships beyond procurement, act as single point of contact, manage queries, build Pfizer strategy with relevant vaccine channels, and identify and develop business opportunities.
- Account Planning & Management: lead strategic sales planning for key accounts, deliver innovation and thought leadership, negotiate commercial deals, manage key account administration, and coordinate internal stakeholder management.
- Business Performance: identify and prioritize opportunities through understanding strategic imperatives, develop and execute key account plans, deliver account‑centric goals and KPIs, monitor industry/market changes, and ensure overall service excellence.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of retail pharmaceutical experience focused on customer‑centric behaviour or Key Account Management.
- 5+ years of negotiating contracts and pricing strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business or Science.
- Diploma in Key Account Management desirable.
- Strong preference for management and/or marketing experience.
- Completion of a Key Account Management best practice workshop preferred.
