Program Administrator Job Description
Job Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the Program Manager and Engineering Change Manager in delivering program reporting and monitoring activities under the Design Support Contractor (DSC) contract.
This role forms part of the Program Management Office (PMO) team, which is responsible for providing program controls, monitoring, and reporting both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare and maintain the program calendar to ensure timely completion of tasks and milestones.
2. Gather and analyse data to demonstrate program compliance and status, using Earned Value Measurement (EVM) principles.
3. Support the Performance Measurement Coordinator in developing and maintaining project measurement data and indicators.
4. Maintain the program schedule using MS Project, and provide support to Program Schedulers as required.
5. Develop and deliver external DSC Program Reporting in accordance with ASDEFCON requirements, including Contract Status Report (CSR), Combined Services Summary Report (CSSR), Annual Engineering Work Report (AEWR), and Contract Performance Review (CPR).
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or 3-5 years equivalent experience in program administration.
* Proven experience as a program coordinator, scheduler, project controller, or similar role.
* Demonstrated understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and project scheduling.
* Strong data analysis skills in relation to project scheduling and progress tracking.
* Very strong interpersonal skills.
* Ability to operate autonomously, using initiative, sound reasoning, listening, and decision-making skills.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Ability to deliver results in a high-pressure environment.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Strong written skills, report writing (MS Word), and presentation material preparation (MS PowerPoint).
* Understanding of the Defence Seaworthiness Management System (DSWMS) and N4 Library.
