Support Worker Co is a leading Support Worker Agency that provides best-fit Disability Support Workers to Disability Service providers across Australia.
We are currently seeking Casual Support Workers to support adult NDIS participants in SILs and respite services across Caboolture and surrounding suburbs in the Moreton Bay region.
Female Support Workers are preferred for this role due to female clients' requests with personal hygiene needs.
Overview Of The Role
We have opportunities to support people in SIL arrangements & respite services.
24-hour care model; staff are required to work a combination of shifts – morning (from 6 am), afternoon (from 2 pm) & sleep-over shifts.
Assist participants with a range of personal activities including hygiene support, medication assistance, manual handling, domestic assistance & meals.
Follow specific Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSP) to help participants engage in community, social and recreational activities.
Support people within both group settings and 1-on-1 arrangements.
Use a company vehicle and/or your own vehicle to transport participants to community-based outings.
What you need
Completed or currently studying a Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent)
12 months paid experience supporting people in SILs with physical & intellectual disabilities.
Australian Driver's License
First Aid Certificate
CPR
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Working with Children Check (Blue Card) for paid employment
National Police Check (obtained within the last 6 months or willing to apply)
NDIS Worker Orientation Module
Reliable smart phone with data
