About the Role
We are seeking a driven, results-orientated
National Allocations Manager
to join our dedicated team in Victoria. This role goes beyond rostering, it's about making sure our nurses feel supported, valued, and empowered to deliver the best possible care.
As a hands-on leader, you'll set the tone for a supportive, collaborative allocations team. You'll balance the demands of a fast-paced environment with empathy, fairness, and clear communication, ensuring your team, our members and clients feel heard, respected, and cared for. You'll be the bridge between our incredible nursing members and the urgent needs of a diverse set of clients, Hospitals, Aged care and Health services. Every shift filled by the allocations team helps ensure patients receive timely, quality care and that's what makes this role so meaningful.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor and inspire the allocations team to deliver service excellence.
* Lead workforce planning, forecast staffing needs using historical data, upcoming bookings, and seasonal market trends to drive service excellence.
* Oversee daily workforce allocations to meet urgent and planned hospital booking requirements.
* Refine allocation strategies and processes through consistent and constructive feedback loops.
* Build strong, trusting relationships with nurses and healthcare partners through clear, empathetic communication.
* Liaise with internal teams to ensure compliance, safety and timely handling of any escalations.
* Set, monitor KPIs, evaluate allocation performance and resolve staffing challenges with proactive, solution-focused approaches.
* Champion continuous improvement in operations, rostering processes and workforce planning.
About You
* Proven experience in allocations, rostering with fast-paced service-based industries or healthcare operations.
* Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
* A strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills, understanding of workforce planning, project delivery and client relationship management.
* A warm, approachable communication style with genuine care for staff wellbeing and patient outcomes, along with strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
* Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and problem-solve, being resilient and calm under pressure.
* Knowledge of AHPRA standards, healthcare rostering systems and compliance requirements will be highly regarded.
