We are looking for a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our team at Ultra Tune.
In this role, you will carry out general servicing, diagnostic work, repairs, and maintenance of a variety of vehicles.
You'll work in a fully equipped workshop environment, working on everyday cars, 4WDs, SUVs — possibly including European and imported vehicles.

Task & responsibilities
Perform full mechanical repairs and servicing — including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, steering, and electric/electronic system diagnostics and repairs.
Conduct routine maintenance services: oil and filter changes, fluid checks, tyre rotations, brake servicing, wheel alignment, and general safety inspections.
Use diagnostic tools, service manuals, and workshop equipment to identify faults, test mechanical and electronic systems, and perform accurate repairs or part replacements.
Ensure workmanship meets manufacturer and safety standards; carry out log-book servicing and warranty-related repairs where necessary.
Maintain workshop cleanliness, keep tools and equipment organized, and ensure a safe working environment.
Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and customer/vehicle information.
Provide excellent customer service and communication when interacting with clients — explaining required repairs, offering vehicle maintenance advice, and ensuring transparency.
Qualification & experience
Trade qualification in automotive mechanics (e.g. Certificate III or IV in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent) — or relevant industry-recognised credential.
Minimum 1–3 years working as a mechanic or technician in a busy workshop environment, handling general repairs and maintenance for a variety of vehicle makes and models.
Strong diagnostic skills, mechanical aptitude, and familiarity with diagnostic and workshop tools/equipment.
Valid driver's licence and a professional, punctual, and customer-focused approach.
Good communication skills, ability to work independently as well as part of a team, and willingness to adhere to safety and environmental standards.
