Electrical Supervisor
Permanent Full-Time | 7:7 Continuous Roster | Leadership Opportunity in Mining Maintenance
Broken Hill Mines is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Supervisor to lead our Electrical Maintenance team at Rasp Mine, Broken Hill.
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, this key leadership position is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable performance of all electrical infrastructure across the site. You'll work collaboratively with Mechanical, Mining, and Milling departments to deliver preventative and corrective maintenance programs that minimise downtime and optimise plant reliability.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and mentor electrical trades and apprentices to ensure safe and efficient work execution.
* Plan, schedule, and oversee electrical maintenance activities including shutdowns and planned outages.
* Manage electrical maintenance projects and liaise with OEMs and contractors.
* Ensure compliance with statutory, legislative, and site requirements for all electrical works.
* Support the development and implementation of preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
* Provide technical guidance, develop documentation, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Optimise the use of the PRONTO Maintenance Management System for planning and reporting.
* Promote a strong safety culture and lead by example in all aspects of electrical maintenance.
About You
* Relevant trade qualification (Electrical) and/or engineering qualification.
* Extensive experience in electrical maintenance within mining, processing, or heavy industry.
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems in process plants and underground mining environments.
* Working knowledge of Australian Standards, Mining Regulations, and relevant legislation.
* Proven leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PRONTO (or similar maintenance systems).
* Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, and manage maintenance budgets and resources.
* Current Australian driver's licence
* Australian right to work

The Rasp Mine is an operating silver-lead-zinc mine in Broken Hill, with a large Mineral Resource and a 750,000tpa processing plant. The mine has operated for over 120 years, producing zinc and lead concentrates sold globally. The Pinnacles Mine, situated 15km southwest of Broken Hill, is known for containing one of the area's highest-grade and shallowest silver-zinc-lead deposits. Despite being largely undeveloped, small-scale historical mining has occurred over the past 120 years. Broken Hill Mines has recently acquired the Rasp Mine and secured a Joint Venture option for the Pinnacles Mine to consolidate the two operations and create a leading and long-term base metals operation.
