Job Description As a Cost Manager in our expanding Canberra office, you will be responsible for: Providing expert cost management services across various stages of construction projects, particularly for government agencies such as the Department of Education, Defence, and Health. Developing and maintaining detailed cost plans, from initial concept through to project completion, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client budgets. Conducting thorough risk assessments and value engineering exercises to optimise project costs without compromising quality. Preparing and analysing tender documentation, including bills of quantities and schedules of rates. Negotiating with contractors and suppliers to ensure best value for our clients. Monitoring and reporting on project costs, including cash flow forecasting and cost-to-complete analyses. Liaising with clients, contractors, and other consultants to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle. Utilising CostX software to enhance accuracy and efficiency in cost estimating and reporting. Staying across industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact project costs. Representing Turner & Townsend at client meetings and industry events, upholding our strong reputation and values. Contributing to business development initiatives and proposal writing to secure new projects and clients. Ensuring compliance with Turner & Townsend's quality management systems and procedures. Participating in continuous professional development to maintain and enhance your expertise in cost management practices.
