About UGL, we are looking for a senior project engineer to work on the Selfs Point Sewage Treatment Plant upgrade. As part of our commitment to investing in new and improved sewerage infrastructure, this is a permanent position that will be based out of Hobart.
The purpose of this role is to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of quality capital works projects for TasWater that meet the needs of their business, stakeholders, and communities. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and delivery of our Selfs Point Sewer Transformation Project here in Tasmania.
This project combines four separate but interconnected projects:
* Selfs Point Sewage Treatment Plant upgrade
* Macquarie Point to Selfs Point pipeline
* New Macquarie Point Sewage Pump Station
* Decommissioning of the existing Macquarie Point Sewage Treatment Plant
The existing Selfs Point Sewage Treatment Plant was built in 1972 to support the treatment of Hobart's wastewater. The plant currently treats around nine megalitres of wastewater from Hobart suburbs including Lenah Valley, New Town, Mount Stuart, Sandy Bay, Dynnyrne, Tolmans Hill, Mount Nelson, and Taroona.
