Are you seeking a part time, casual legal research focused role? We are looking for a diligent Casual Legal Editor to join our team of experienced editors working on Westlaw and the Australian Digest. In this role you help provide our customers with the most up-to-date and best-in-class legal publications.

As a Legal Editor, you will assist with the delivery of case law content.

**About the role**:
In this new opportunity as Casual Legal Editor, you will:

- Classifying cases in accordance with the Australian Digest classification key.
- Adding case relationships and litigation history to the cases database.
- Writing digest notes for significant cases.
- Verifying and updating cases references.
- Conducting online Quality Assurance; and
- Assisting the Case Law Manager and Senior Legal Editors on specific cases projects.

**About you**:
You're a fit for the role if you have:

- Degree in Law and strong legal research skills and familiarity with Australian legal resources
- Ability to interpret, analyse, organise, and communicate complex legal material
- Strong attention to detail and understanding of its importance from a customer perspective
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
- Ability to adapt quickly and respond positively to change (a sense of humour helps)
- A commitment to both team and personal goals
- Excellent comprehension and writing skills
- Good verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently
- Editorial experience and familiarity with XML an advantage
