An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Learning and Development Unit at West Gippsland Healthcare Group in the role of Continuing Education and Support Coordinator. This is a Permanent part-time position at 0.6 EFT. This position will support the participants of the Enrolled Nursing Graduate Program (further information available in the attached Position Description).
Reporting to the Learning and Development Manager, you will work within a motivated and dedicated team that provides support to the organisation over a wide range of education and development services, including but not limited to, in-service education, development and delivery of training programs, competency assessments, supervision of student placements and staff development education along with coordinating the Graduate program for Enrolled Nurses.
We are seeking expressions of interest from motivated, experienced and enthusiastic people with a passion for learning and development to work collaboratively in providing high-quality learning opportunities, using a range of modalities that support and enable participants to practice as safe, confident and accountable professionals.
This stimulating role would suit an experienced Registered nurse or an Advanced Practice Enrolled Nurse Level 3.3 who is flexible, solutions-focused, committed to quality, willing to accept a challenge and enjoys working within a team that is dedicated to providing great service to their client group.
Our preferred candidate will have
* Registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
* Minimum five years post-registration clinical experience as a Registered Nurse or Advanced Practice Enrolled Nurse Level 3.3.
* Experience in Student Supervision/Preceptorship
* Post Graduate qualification in healthcare, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or relevant tertiary qualification in education, or willingness to work towards within an agreed timeframe
* Experience in collaborative practice and the promotion of this within the workforce
* Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel
* Knowledge of Inter-professional Education (IPE) and Inter-professional Programs (IPP), or willingness to work towards
The following experience/qualifications would be considered advantageous:
* Experience working in a public health environment
* Experience in clinical teaching.
* Experience managing Undergraduate students and Graduate Nursing Programs.
IMPORTANT: Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.
