About the role
We're looking for an experienced Engagement Manager, Clinical Governance (EL1) to design and deliver high‐impact engagement and communications strategies that optimise engagement with our national Digital Health Adviser (DHA) network and key external stakeholders.
This is a strategic leadership role for a confident communicator who thrives in complex environments and is passionate about improving health outcomes through digital innovation and strong clinical governance.
Reporting to the Director, Clinical Governance, you will lead the Digital Health Adviser engagement and communications strategy. You'll design and deliver targeted engagement activities, executive‐level briefings and presentations, and oversee collaboration between the Agency and its DHA cohort.
You will exercise sound judgement, manage complex issues, and provide high‐level strategic advice aligned to Agency and Government priorities. The role also contributes to advancing clinical governance across Australia's digital health ecosystem.
Key responsibilities
* Lead and deliver a national engagement and communications strategy for Digital Health Advisers
* Plan and deliver networking events and stakeholder engagement activities
* Develop high‐quality briefing materials and presentations for senior executives
* Build and maintain strong relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders
* Provide leadership, coaching and feedback within a team environment
* Contribute to clinical governance initiatives and continuous business improvement

Skills and experience (essential criteria)
* Proven experience leading engagement and/or communications strategies
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong relationship–building and stakeholder management capability
* Experience in a digital health environment (highly desirable)
* Clinical governance experience (desirable)
* A tertiary qualification in healthcare, medical, communications or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Australian citizenship is a mandatory eligibility requirement. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain both a national police clearance and a Baseline security clearance, with the capacity to attain a higher-level clearance if required by the Agency.

Salary:
This role offers between$124,53 to $142,089 plus 15.4% superannuation depending on skills and experience.
Order of Merit: Applicants rated as suitable will be placed in a merit pool that may be used to fill similar ongoing or non-ongoing positions throughout the Agency for up to 18 months.
