About the Role:

As an Electrical PE / Electrical Designer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing comprehensive electrical and control systems. You will collaborate with a passionate team to deliver high-quality solutions across various industries, including mining, oil and gas, and brewing.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design & Development: Prepare, design, and inspect EC&I equipment ensuring top-notch quality and compliance.
* Control Systems: Develop and program PLCs and HMIs for efficient control panel operations, including relays-based panels, soft starters, LV and MV distribution boards, and Variable Speed Drives (VSD).
* Communication Protocols: Implement Ethernet IP and Modbus/TCP communication for seamless system integration.
* Testing & Commissioning: Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), ensuring systems meet all specifications.
* Cabling & Routing: Plan and execute site cabling routing, including underground installations.
* Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical and control system issues promptly and effectively.
* Documentation: Create detailed drafts, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, and FAT procedures to maintain quality assurance.
* Leadership: Mentor and supervise junior engineers and drafters, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
* Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to classified area protection methods (Ex'e, Ex'd, Ex'i) and industry standards.

Qualifications:

* Experience: Minimum of 5 years in electrical design, control systems, and instrumentation within relevant industries.
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
* Certifications: PMI Certified Associate in Project Management is a plus.
* Technical Skills:

* Proficient in PLC and HMI programming

* Strong knowledge of EC&I systems and components
* Experience with microcontroller-based control systems
* Soft Skills:

* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
* Strong communication and leadership skills
* Quality assurance focused with attention to detail
