Daifuku Oceania is a global leader in automation. We are experiencing continued growth in Australia and has an opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician at Cairns Airport who can form an integral part of our automation maintenance team.
About The Role
Do you enjoy a hands-on, fault-finding team environment? This could be the opportunity for you. We are keen to receive interest from candidates with troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs experience.
The Team
Being part of the Daifuku team at Cairns Airport, you will receive the rate as prescribed in the EBA. We also assist with professional registration renewals and accreditation.
Typical Responsibilities Include
* Diagnostic tests on automation systems
* Follow maintenance plans to prevent equipment breakdowns
* Troubleshooting malfunctions, faults, jams and breakdowns and performing the necessary repairs to restore full functionality
* Diagnose faults and rectify communication issues
* Schedule maintenance tasks on MEX
* Monitor the SCADA System for error messages and material data
Your Skills & Experience
* A mechanical trade qualification
* Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical installations, maintenance and repairs
* Experience in mechanical drives, including gearboxes, conveyor belting
* Experience in pneumatics and Hydraulics including Solenoid Valves, cylinders and flow regulators
* Have a strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand mechanical assembly drawings
* Ability to work a rotating shift
* Current full driver's license or Airside driver's license
