Hog's Breath Café Caloundra is seeking an experienced Chef de Partie (Grill) to join our kitchen team. This role is ideal for a confident grill cook who takes pride in consistency, speed, and quality, and who can perform under pressure in a high-volume service environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate and manage the grill section during service
* Prepare and cook steaks, ribs, burgers, and grill items to Hog's Breath standards
* Maintain consistency in portioning, presentation, and cooking temperatures
* Work efficiently during peak service periods
* Assist with prep, stock rotation, and section setup/pack down
* Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene standards are upheld at all times
* Communicate effectively with the Head Chef and kitchen team
* Support junior staff when required
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar Chef de Partie or Grill Cook role
* Strong experience cooking steaks and proteins to specification
* Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure
* Good understanding of food safety and HACCP procedures
* Reliable, punctual, and team-focused
* Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
