About The Role
Townsville City Council is seeking Expressions of Interest for Administration Officer positions. These roles play a key part in supporting the needs and aspirations of the Townsville community by contributing to strong customer relationships, fostering a culture of customer centric service, and promoting personal accountability. Administration Officers will support the transformation of how Council delivers services, ensuring value is maximised and the customer experience is strengthened.
Working across multiple work sites within the divisions, these positions provide essential administrative support to enable efficient operations and consistent service delivery. Officers will contribute to a wide range of administrative functions, ensuring tasks are completed accurately, professionally, and in alignment with Council's service standards.
About You
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate strong administrative capability, supported by well developed customer service and communication skills with the ability to educate and influence others.
They will possess excellent computer proficiency, particularly within the Microsoft Office suite, and have demonstrated experience using Council financial and administrative systems such as CiAnywhere and CES or equivalent. The role requires a proven ability to deliver high quality, accurate and timely administrative, secretariat, reporting and financial support to a multi disciplinary team operating across multiple work locations.
Candidates must be able to work independently, prioritise workloads, and manage time effectively to meet competing deadlines. A positive attitude and the ability to adapt to changing work environments are essential, including the flexibility to undertake duties across various work locations and teams within the Infrastructure and Operations Division as required.
