OverviewJoin to apply for the Health Information Services Clerk role at St John of God Health Care.To maintain a high standard of health records and provide an efficient service to internal departments and external organisations.We currently have two exciting opportunitiesPermanent Part-time | 30 hours per fortnightFixed-term Part-time (12 months) | 56 hours per fortnightThe PositionAccurate and timely scanning of health record documents to Scanned Health Record System (SHRS).
Prepare and verify documents for scanning to SHRS.Perform quality activities on scanned documents.Correct identified anomalies in SHRS.Respond to telephone, email and fax enquiries from other departments and external organisations for requests for patient information.Update and maintain doctor and practice database.Filing and culling of health records.Maintain health record tracking system for all record movements.Collect and sort mail.Liaise with secondary storage contractor for the retrieval and return of health records.You will have excellent communication and customer service skills, along with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.To succeed, you will be proficient in using email, web-based applications, and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
