About the Role
The Industry Relationship Manager is a key driver of visibility, external engagement and industry partnership revenue growth for UTS Rapido. This B2B role works with Rapido engineering teams to identify, engage, convert and maintain external commercial partners into collaborative, revenue-generating R&D opportunities for UTS Rapido.
You will be involved in early-stage sales activities, lead generation, qualification (against BANT or similar criteria), and handover to Principal Delivery Managers for scoping and execution. The role focuses on generating qualified business leads for the unit to support new R&D projects and the capabilities of the team in mechatronics, software engineering, UX research and digital solutions.
About You
The incumbent should have proven business development experience in B2B engagement, lead generation and lead management, particularly with government and mid-to-large organisations. A background in B2B technology, engineering or innovation consulting is highly desirable.
Selection Criteria

* Strong industry stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to proactively develop commercial relationships with senior professionals.
* Commercial understanding of decision-making groups within the Australian R&D and innovation ecosystem.
* Experience working with industry partners to build relationships in a tech environment, with ownership of lead tracking and management systems (e.g., Salesforce.com) to meet organisational goals.
* Experience in early-stage, collaborative industry project proposal development, including tracking, engagement and client-aligned scoping.
Compensation and Terms
Base Salary Range: $120,827 - $137,609 p.a. (HEW 8)
This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.
