Cairns Accounting & Tax Specialists Pty Ltd are seeking an experienced and dedicated Accountant or Bookkeeper and or Accountant to join our professional staff on a part time basis, for approximately 23 to 30hrs per week. This can become a permanent role if required. The firm looks after a large client in the Health, Pharmacy and Medical industries with branches in both Queensland and NSW. There are also other growth paths on offer within our organisation. Duties & responsibilities: Assist with Front Office and Administration support such as answering telephones and making appointments as required Preparation and lodgement of Monthly BAS, IAS and Payroll Tax Returns for our Pharmacy & Medical group Monthly reconciliations for credit cards, bank accounts, and loan accounts Input of weekly invoices for all stores Oversee and assist employee wages on a fortnightly basis within our group of entities Completion of internal and external stock transfers between stores Supply information to approved third parties when due Assist in the production of monthly management account using MYOB software (AccountRight, Business Pro, etc.) Timely preparation of accounts, profit & loss, balance sheets, interim and full year reports Make recommendations to implement improved systems for efficiency Involvement and participation in training as required Experience & attributes: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role Tertiary accounting qualifications although desirable are not essential High degree of knowledge of MYOB AccountRight and other MYOB software Time management and ability to meet deadlines Proficiency across all broad aspects of bookkeeping Strong work ethic and desire to strive for continuous improvement Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both internal and external stakeholders Pleasant and easy-going personality Flexible approach to teamwork and completing tasks required by the business Benefits on offer: Above average salary Free undercover parking Regular internal and external training Busy, modern offices in both Cairns and Mareeba Enthusiastic and dynamic team Ongoing development and growth About us: Established in 2009 as a sole operator, Cairns Accounting & Tax Specialists now have 2 offices, employing 10 staff.
