About the role:
The Sales & Business Development – NSW role is a strategic yet hands on position responsible for driving growth in the Australian market, as part of a driven & experienced team. This hands-on, dynamic role covers primarily sales, account management, business development, and trade execution. You will be in market to develop and implement strategies to expand our presence at retail level, build relationships with our highly valued retailers, and spot new opportunities for growth. You'll work closely with both internal and external teams to represent Antipodes in the best way possible, ensuring we hit our sales targets and continue our success in Australia.
Key Responsibilities & Expected Deliverables
Sales / Retail brand ambassador
* Ownership and accountability to deliver sales across NSW region
* Build and nurture strong relationships with key existing retailers (Ultra, CWH, David Jones, Priceline, Myer and others)
* Lead regular meetings with wholesalers and retail buyers, focusing on sales performance, demand forecasting, and growth opportunities.
* Monitor sales and stock data, ensuring demand is forecasted accurately and orders are placed in a timely manner.
* Collaborate with Operations to submit necessary forms, communicate product changes, and manage stock levels to maintain consistent sales growth.
Account Management - ownership of Mr Vitamins and Healthy Life:
* Lead relationship, strategy and sales growth with Healthy Life and Mr Vitamins
* Position Antipodes as the natural skincare brand of choice at both HQ and store level through strong presentations and regular engagement
* Develop and execute annual and Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with to create mutually beneficial sales strategies and agreed annual revenue targets.
* Present H1 and H2 sales strategy and NPD – build our Go-to-market execution for launch

* Work together for mutual collab opportunities and data acquisition drives
* Ensure you are meeting monthly sales targets and mitigation of sales gaps
* Plan and execute events to train staff and increase awareness
Trade marketing & Retail presence:
* Oversee the retail POS execution of promotional offers, seasonal campaigns, NPD launches, and brand activations, ensuring in full- and on-time roll outs
* Ensure absolute excellence at point of sale – planograms relayed and presentation to the highest possible level on every visit
* Operate out of company car with high level of organisation – with testers, tester bag, POS, aprons and key tickets, ready to go for each call
* Actively seek out secondary location space – for window displays or additional visibility
* Undertake store training on specific products and categories

* Recruit retailers into our online training module
* Analyse retail sales and stockholding data to inform decisions on merchandising, promotions, and overall sales strategy.
* Increase minimum stock holdings to drive higher sales growth
Brand Awareness Campaigns
* Be part of a team to drive brand awareness throughout Sydney
* Liaise with key opinion leaders in the wellness space, to unlock opportunities for brand collaborations, podcasts and events
* Help onboard High Value Influencers to drive sales to D2C and key retail channels
Development & collaboration:
* Lead by example, ensuring KPIs are met and driving performance within your territory.
* Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners, ensuring alignment and clarity on sales strategies and targets.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams (Sales, Finance, Design) to support seamless execution of business strategies.
* Regularly update and report to the board, providing insights on performance, challenges, and opportunities.
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes
Experience:
You should have at least 10 years of experience in Territory Account Management, preferably in the beauty and/or health sectors. Experience working with grocery or pharmacy channels, as well as premium beauty retailers, is a plus.
Proven success:
You've got a track record of driving sales growth, acquiring new business, and managing accounts effectively. You know how to negotiate and make things happen.
Meticulous attention to detail:
you will have a deep understanding and ability to effect change to ensure the brand presentation in every account is to the highest possible execution
Commercial skills:
You're confident in forecasting, managing budgets, and working with P&Ls. You understand how to analyse data and make decisions that benefit the business.
Passion for beauty:
You love the beauty industry and are passionate about delivering the best customer experience.
High level collaboration;
you're a natural thought leader who can inspire and motivate others. You'll work closely with the wider team and the Australian Director of Sales to ensure business success.
Communication skills:
You know how to pitch, present, and communicate effectively with stakeholders, both internal and external, media opportunities and influencers.
Willingness to travel:
You're happy to travel regularly within Australia, and occasionally to New Zealand for board meetings and other events.
