About the Role
Waterson Diesel is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Fitter | HD Fitter | HD Mechanic to join our Townsville team. This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday, offering a competitive hourly rate, regular overtime at overtime rates, and a great opportunity to be part of a supportive and growing team.

What You'll Be Doing
* Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment, including trucks, earthmoving machinery, cranes, and other industrial vehicles.
* Performing scheduled maintenance and servicing to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
* Conducting on-site repairs, roadside assistance, and field service work using a company utility vehicle.
* Maintaining detailed records of all work performed.
* Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
* Collaborating with the wider team to share knowledge and best practices.
* On-call roster available
What We're Looking For
* Trade-qualified Diesel Fitter, Heavy Duty Mechanic, or similar.
* Experience in truck and trailer maintenance (highly regarded).
* Field service experience preferred.
* Crane maintenance and inspection experience (highly regarded).
* Current Queensland C Class driver licence.
* MC licence highly regarded.
* Excellent diagnostic, technical, and problem-solving skills.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Commitment to quality workmanship and safe work practices.
* A collaborative attitude and willingness to support the team.
