OverviewAs Manager – Governance and Frameworks, you'll lead our Governance Group to enable the enterprise to fulfil its risk obligations and drive governance excellence.
You4ll enable our vision to be the best workers' compensation insurer while making a positive difference to people4 lives through robust governance frameworks and risk-aware decision-making.This role is strategic and influential, requiring deep expertise in governance frameworks and Board effectiveness from policy development through to implementation.
The scope encompasses second line governance functions, Board and committee support, corporate insurance programs, and comprehensive risk management strategies that ensure compliance and integrity.
You4ll serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on operational and strategic matters while fostering relationships with key stakeholders across the enterprise.
As the governance leader for the Risk Group, you4ll drive performance through structured frameworks, expert advisory services, and comprehensive Board support.ResponsibilitiesLead the second line governance and frameworks function to embed risk-aware decision-making and governance excellenceDevelop and implement governance frameworks, policies, and risk management strategies ensuring regulatory complianceDesign delivery standards, service levels, & risk reporting to enhance performance monitoringManage Board, Risk and Audit Committee and People Committee calendars, preparations, and paper collationLead the corporate insurance program ensuring comprehensive coverage & valueCompile and present governance-related data and insights for Executive Leadership Team, Board, and Risk and Audit Committee reportingSupport Company Secretary in providing Directors and Executive Leaders with essential information and structureDrive transformation and continuous improvement initiatives within established governance frameworksQualificationsExtensive experience in financial services, personal injury insurance, and/or legal sectors, with deep understanding of commercial, industrial, and political considerationsLed high-performing governance teams with strong focus on policies, frameworks, and Board effectiveness, bringing structure and excellence to complex governance environmentsConfident engaging Executive Leadership Teams and Board members, preparing clear and concise reports suitable for senior stakeholders and building trusted advisory relationshipsProven track record collaborating and influencing across enterprises to drive business outcomes, with exceptional interpersonal and communication skillsNavigate complex regulatory environments with confidence, analyse long-term trends, & translate insights into actionable strategies for sustained business growthCommitted to governance excellence.
