About us: Eventide Home Rockhampton has two main units within the facility – Lodges and Courts. These units provide residential aged care for general high care residents, psychogeriatric residents and dementia residents. Eventide's aim is to provide high standards of resident‑focused care in an integrated multidisciplinary setting, by responding to complex care requirements delivered in a timely manner and within available resources.
About the role:
* Ensure the effective and efficient use of human, fiscal and material resources for the unit.
* Effectively manage the unit on a day‑to‑day basis to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
* Coordinate, formulate and direct evidence‑based policies/procedures for the clinical specialty which reflect current trends relating to the provision of nursing care by integrating resident (patient/client) care across the continuum of care.
* Demonstrate advanced knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and theory and participate directly and/or indirectly in the delivery of clinical care.
* Provide expert nursing consultation and participate in multidisciplinary decision‑making forums to provide representation for nursing and the unit.
* Use high level interpersonal and communication skills that support effective communication, negotiation and consultation with a wide range of stakeholders.
About you:
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this position.
* A relevant postgraduate qualification would be well regarded.
What we offer
Total remuneration value of up to $164,212 is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $66.85 – $72.58 p.h.
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
