Your Opportunity
As an Allied Health Assistant, you will work under the direction of Physiotherapists or Occupational Therapists to deliver a consistently high standard of clinical service to clients in Residential Aged Care (RAC) settings. Your time will include both clinical and administrative duties.
Assist in delivering all physiotherapy services in accordance with Plena Healthcare operating procedures and policies.
Service RAC clients in accordance with Allied Health Professionals treatment plans.
Transport residents to and from the therapy gym area or appointments as directed.
Set up and pack away the physiotherapy gym, including cleaning the area and equipment.
Collect referrals and perform other administrative tasks as guided by physiotherapists.
Order prescribed equipment.
Run exercise groups or programs.
Support initiatives to meet client and contract expectations.
Consult with the physiotherapist or occupational therapist regarding adaptations, changes, or progressions of treatment plans as appropriate.
Participate in mentoring, supervision and appraisals in line with Plena Healthcare's policy and procedure.
