We are seeking an experienced and people-focused Logistics Manager to lead, develop, and optimise our branch logistics operations.
Working closely with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and IT, this role is focused on creating a high-performing logistics function where safety, efficiency, reliability, and customer service excellence are at the forefront of everything we do.

What you will do
* Lead and manage Service Representatives across the full employment lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance, and engagement
* Oversee daily logistics operations to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable service delivery
* Manage driver communication, including toolbox talks, safety briefings, and engagement activities
* Ensure all drivers meet required inductions, compliance, and fitness for duty standards
* Oversee fleet operations including maintenance, utilisation, roadworthiness, and presentation
* Manage payroll inputs, timesheets, and leave processes accurately and on time
* Plan and optimise routes using logistics systems to drive efficiency and service delivery
* Monitor logistics performance, analyse data, and identify continuous improvement opportunities
* Collaborate with internal teams to resolve service issues and enhance customer outcomes
* Manage logistics costs including labour and fleet expenses within budget
* Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with WHS and environmental requirements
What we are looking for
* Proven experience in logistics, transport, or fleet management (5+ years preferred)
* Strong leadership experience managing drivers or logistics teams
* Experience with route planning systems and logistics software
* Strong understanding of fleet compliance, maintenance, and safety standards
* Commercial mindset with experience managing budgets and cost drivers
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities
* Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
* A hands‐on, proactive, and adaptable approach
* Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
* Relevant qualifications in logistics, operations, or management (preferred)
