Play an integral part in driving the Biomedical Enterprise initiative at USYD Full time, fixed-term contract until 31st December 2025 Base Salary $121,508 Base 17% superannuation About the opportunity The Research Enterprise Team within DVC Research at the University of Sydney is looking for a new Biomedical Enterprise Manager for a 6-month parental leave position, playing a continued important role in the strategic development of the Sydney Biomedical Accelerator. The Biomedical Enterprise Manager will support the development and implementation of a new biomedical translation service for the University, including both the support services and the physical incubator. The role will form part of the team of the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Research Enterprise and work closely with Strategic Ventures, the Commercialisation Office and the Sydney Knowledge Hub. This role will have strong collaborative links across the University and external partners including health and biomedical industry partners. The Biomedical Accelerator is a visionary partnership between the University of Sydney, Sydney Local Health District and the NSW Government bringing together clinicians, researchers, academics and industry to solve the most complex health problems of today, tomorrow and the future. This important and unique role will be instrumental in developing the business plan for a new biomedical translation service for the University, including both the support services and the physical incubator. Reporting to the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Research Enterprise and working closely with Strategic Ventures, the Commercialisation Office and the Sydney Knowledge Hub, your key responsibilities will be to: coordinate the development and implementation of programs, frameworks and project plans to support biomedical translation and commercialisation identify and document existing research with translation potential (pipeline mapping) contribute to committees and working groups focused on developing Sydney Biomedical Accelerator continue to cultivate strong stakeholder relationships to engage and consult with potential industry partners screen applications to University of Sydney’s Pre-Seed Launch Fund and for those accepted, help prepare them for investment About you postgraduate qualifications in Biomedicine/ Science discipline and/or relative working experience experience managing a diverse group of key internal/external stakeholders on large or complex projects exceptional attention to detail, coupled with the ability to pivot and change focus when needed exceptional understanding of project management scope, time, cost, quality, HR, communications, cost, risk, procurement and integration excellent writing skills previous experience in the higher education sector or at a complex, multi-faceted organisation.
