Overview
Facility Manager | Aged Care| Newcastle | $181k
* $181,000 total remuneration inclusive of super & car allowance
* Large Not For Profit Aged Care Provider (salary packaging available)
* One of the best CEOs to work for
I have recruited in Aged Care for years, but I have never seen a benefit scheme like this.
We are looking for a General Manager for a small residential village by Newcastle, NSW. Our client is a 100+ year-old organisation. They are financially secure, they don't answer to shareholders, and they are doing something for their staff that sounds almost too good to be true.
Let's talk about the benefits first (because they are incredible):
* They are literally building houses for staff: This organisation is actively repurposing land to build apartments for their workforce.
* 50% Market Rent: If you live in these staff units, you pay roughly half the market rental rate. In this economy, that is effectively a massive pay rise.
* Housing Security for Life: Their CEO has stated that if you retire as an employee while living in these units, you can stay there. It's a safe home for life.
* Free Degrees: Want to upskill? They run scholarship programs that pay for staff to move from Carer to Registered Nurse.
* The Standard Stuff: On top of that, you get the $76.32/hr base rate, a $13,000 Vehicle Allowance, and Salary Packaging.
About the Organisation: This provider has been around since the late 1800s. They are an organisation where giving back is in their DNA. During COVID, when other operators were cutting costs, this organisation operated at a planned loss just to stockpile PPE and protect their staff. They treat their team like family because, to them, you are family.
The Role: Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will take charge of the site operations. This is a mid-sized facility that needs a steady hand and a warm heart.
Your focus will be:
* Operations: Managing the budget, rosters, and daily village life.
* Compliance: Ensuring the home meets the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and keeping AN-ACC funding optimised.
* Culture: Mentoring your department heads and keeping the vibe positive.
Who we need:
* You must have significant experience in Aged Care.
* You need a solid grip on AN-ACC, clinical governance, and budget management.
* You are an empathetic leader who understands that staff wellbeing equals resident wellbeing.
* AHPRA registration is advantageous
* Full Working Rights in Australia is essential
This role is live and we are interviewing now. If you want to work for a company that puts its money where its mouth is regarding staff welfare, apply today.
