So, what's the role?
Reporting to the Managing Director and Chief Creative and Strategy Officer, the Creative Strategist is responsible for shaping the strategic thinking that informs Fuller's campaign and communication work.
The role involves clearly defining campaign challenges at brief stage, analysing qualitative and quantitative research, and translating behavioural insight into structured campaign platforms, positioning and messaging frameworks. You will prepare clear and focused creative briefs and ensure alignment from initial insight through to execution across channels.
Working closely with Creative and Account Service teams, you will assess and strengthen ideas against agreed strategic direction, contribute to concept development, and support narrative articulation where required. You will also participate in discovery workshops, stakeholder sessions and new business pitches, presenting research findings and strategic rationale with clarity and professionalism.
This is a hands‐on strategic role embedded within the creative process, ensuring campaign work demonstrates consistency, relevance and measurable effectiveness.
What a typical week may include:
* Analysing research to identify audience motivations, behaviours and barriers
* Defining campaign problems and articulating clear strategic responses
* Developing campaign platforms, positioning and messaging frameworks
* Writing structured, focused creative briefs
* Contributing to discovery workshops and strategic sessions
* Preparing and presenting research findings and strategic recommendations
* Collaborating with creative teams during ideation
* Evaluating concepts against agreed strategic direction
* Supporting pitch development and proactive strategic initiatives
* Monitoring cultural, behavioural and industry trends to inform campaign thinking
What you bring (on paper):
* Demonstrated experience in a strategy, planning or senior advertising role
* Strong capability in analysing research and extracting actionable insight
* Experience developing campaign platforms and messaging frameworks
* Proven ability to write clear, structured creative briefs
* Confidence presenting strategic thinking to clients and internal teams
* Commercial awareness and understanding of campaign effectiveness
* Comfort operating within billable utilisation expectations
