An exciting opportunity now exists for a Venue Financial Director to join Sfera's at a pivotal stage following the recent acquisition of the venue and accommodation business by the City of Tea Tree Gully. Reporting to the Venue Director, the Venue Financial Director is a key member of the leadership team, responsible for overseeing the full finance function, including accounting operations, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting. The role ensures the integrity of financial systems and compliance with the Local Government Act, Financial Management Regulations and Australian Accounting Standards, while providing high-quality financial advice to support strategic and operational decision-maki
ng.
The role delivers timely and insightful financial reports, leads financial planning and analysis, and identifies opportunities to improve efficiency and revenue performance. The position also leads and mentors a multidisciplinary team including sales, marketing and customer service staff and collaborates with corporate finance and IT teams to strengthen systems and reporting capabil
ity.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified finance professional with tertiary qualifications in accounting and current CA or CPA membership. You will bring strong technical expertise, experience managing a finance function, and the ability to communicate clearly and build effective relationships. A practical, solutions-focused mindset, integrity and alignment with organisational values are essential for success in this
