is a point-of-care clinical reference database covering over 2500 diagnoses and
Australian Prescriber
is a free, evidence-based journal that covers a broad range of topics addressing the intersection of quality use of medicines, diagnostics and pathology. TGL's independence is underpinned by its financial self-sufficiency, giving it the freedom to operate with integrity and purpose.
The organisation has a wide reach and is deeply trusted. TGL is embedded in the Australian healthcare community, supporting general practitioners, hospital doctors, specialists, pharmacists, dentists, nurses and students. All medical, pharmacy and dental students are trained using
Therapeutic Guidelines,
and more than 20,000 students also subscribe to
Australian Prescriber.
Most healthcare professionals report daily or weekly use of the guidelines, making TGL's content part of the fabric of clinical care in Australia.
Through its Partnership Program, TGL also supports quality use of medicines, and the development and distribution of guidelines, in low-resource settings, extending its impact beyond national borders.

We have a
2-year fixed-term, full-time
position (with potential for a permanent role) for an Editor for
Therapeutic Guidelines
. As part of our talented Publishing team, you will work with Expert Writing Groups to track, assess and distil practice-changing evidence in a clear, practical and accessible format. This is a rare opportunity to build on your clinical experience to deliver meaningful change beyond the beside.
New editors are provided with a structured and comprehensive orientation and training program. Reporting to a Senior Editor, you will have the opportunity to take on increasing levels of responsibility and autonomy, including contributing to process improvement and innovation, with career progression supported at all levels.
The candidate
You are a highly skilled professional with a tertiary qualification in pharmacy, pharmacology or medicine, and a minimum of 3 years postgraduate clinical experience. You possess strong communication, project management and problem-solving skills, with experience in editing, guideline development or digital publishing highly desirable. You are a details-orientated person with the ability to manage deadlines and engage with internal and external stakeholders.
