Procurement Specialist Role
This role encompasses managing duties related to supplier on-boarding, quoting, negotiation, selection, and purchase order placement of indirect, production, and aftermarket products in accordance with corporate policies and specific contract requirements.
The incumbent is responsible for preparing price quotations for the Commonwealth, monitoring commodity pricing, investigating potential suppliers, identifying and addressing shortfalls in the supplier base, administering export and import requirements, expediting quotes and orders from suppliers, evaluating technical drawings, and ensuring delivery quality and corporate KPIs are met.
Additionally, this role involves evaluating repair quotes and teardown reports, awarding quotations, managing supplier performance, investigating and resolving supplier issues, ensuring Trade Compliance requirements are addressed, receiving procurement requests, converting purchase requisitions to purchase orders, and generating SCM reports.
Requirements
* Experience in procurement with strong negotiation, interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, preferably within the Defense industry.
* High-level degree in Business or Supply Chain Management; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
* Ability to read or learn technical drawings.
* Experience using Oracle or other ERP database, preferred.
* Experience within the defense or manufacturing industry, preferred.

* Cost analysis, proposal fact-finding, proposal negotiations, including cost, terms and conditions (T&Cs), and scopes of work (SOWs).

* Demonstrated experience dealing with export/import and trade compliance requirements.
* Ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing priorities.
* Ability to gain and maintain an Australian Security Clearance.
