Synergie Australia is seeking a Senior Storage Infrastructure Engineer for a trusted client located in the ACT.
The important parts:
* Pay: $75–$80 per hour + Super | Duration: 12-month contract (potential for extension)
* Hours: Monday–Friday, rotating roster between 8:00am–6:00pm | 40 hrs per week
What you will be required to do:
The Senior Storage Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for delivering and maintaining secure, high-performing storage platforms within a complex enterprise ICT environment. This includes managing storage systems across physical and virtual layers, supporting critical infrastructure operations, and contributing to the evolution of storage and data platform strategies.
* Deploy, configure, and manage enterprise storage systems and SAN infrastructure
* Monitor, tune, and troubleshoot storage performance across environments
* Administer backup, restore, and data protection solutions
* Produce design, build, and operational documentation for infrastructure
* Collaborate with stakeholders and mentor junior engineers on best practices
To be successful in the role you will:
* Proven experience managing enterprise storage platforms (e.g. HPE 3PAR, NetApp, Dell Data Domain)
* Strong expertise in SAN technologies, including Brocade switches and SAN management tools
* Hands-on experience with backup and recovery solutions, particularly Veeam
* Ability to create clear design, build, and operational documentation
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate and mentor within technical teams
