Overview
We are seeking a skilled Workato Developer to design, develop, and implement integration solutions using the Workato iPaaS platform. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in automation, API integrations, and workflow orchestration across cloud and on‐premise applications.
Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and deploy integration recipes using the Workato platform, building automated workflows that connect SaaS applications, databases, and enterprise systems.
* Develop API integrations using REST and SOAP protocols; create data transformation logic; build reusable connectors, custom actions, and callable recipes.
* Implement error handling, retry logic, and monitoring for integrations; analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical integration solutions.
* Design maintainable integration architecture; document technical specifications and data flows; provide technical guidance on Workato best practices.
* Test by developing and executing test cases; perform unit and integration testing; provide UAT support; debug integration issues to ensure data accuracy across systems.
* Monitor integration health and performance using Workato dashboards; provide production support and incident resolution; maintain and enhance existing recipes.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize integrations; create and maintain technical documentation; participate in knowledge sharing and support change management and deployment activities.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience; Workato Automation Pro certification highly desirable.
* 3–5+ years of experience in integration development or iPaaS platforms with proven hands‐on Workato experience.
* Experience integrating enterprise applications such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, NetSuite, SAP, and Workday; API development and consumption using REST, SOAP, and GraphQL in Agile or DevOps environments.
* Strong understanding of integration patterns and best practices; proficiency in API concepts including OAuth, webhooks, and pagination; experience with data transformation and mapping; knowledge of JSON, XML, SQL; scripting with Ruby preferred for Workato formulas.
* Understanding of database concepts and SQL queries; familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
* Workato-specific skills including recipe development and optimization, connector configuration and custom connector creation, Workbot creation for Slack and Teams integrations, recipe lifecycle management, Workato SDK, and implementing error handling and monitoring strategies.
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving abilities; excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to work independently and in teams; attention to detail with a focus on quality; ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Desirable qualifications
* Experience with other iPaaS platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Informatica, Zapier).
* Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes; experience in finance, healthcare, retail, or manufacturing domains.
* Understanding of security and compliance requirements; experience with CI/CD pipelines for integration deployments.
* Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks; prior experience in system integration or middleware technologies.
