Life Skills & Transition Center – Grafton, ND – Registered Nurse
This is a long-term non-benefitted temporary position.
Work shift: One weekend per month, 12-hour or 14-hour shifts, AM/PM shifts
As a Flex RN, you will provide direct nursing services for individuals with intellectual disabilities, ranging from complex medical needs to dual diagnoses. You will ensure healthcare needs and standards are met and promote independence through training. Additionally, you will oversee and train medication technicians, conduct acute and ongoing comprehensive assessments, provide education to various stakeholders, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal health outcomes. Your leadership, positive role modeling, and teamwork will contribute to providing quality nursing care in a supportive environment.
To be successful as a RN, you must have confidence in handling various situations independently as well as possess internal and external communication skills to effectively interact with team members and individuals under your care. Additionally, you show patience and kindness along with initiative to complete tasks, actively engaging with people and fostering interactive environments.
To be considered as an RN, you are required to have a licensure as a Registered Nurse by the North Dakota Board of Nursing or licensure in another state and meet the eligibility requirements for licensure in North Dakota. North Dakota licensure is a condition of employment, and the employing agency will verify and document licensure upon appointment.
If unable to find a RN, we will consider filling as a LPN which requires licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the ND Board of Nursing or registration in another state and eligibility for licensure in ND.
ND HHS utilizes a blended workplace model. This position provides essential client services face to face and therefore the person in this position needs to be able to travel to meet clients at their location.
