Warehouse Team Leader – Afternoon Shift – 1:30 pm – 10pm
Salaried. $65,000 – $70,000 PA + Super, experience depending.
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Team Leader to join our dynamic 3PL team during the afternoon or night shift at our Regency Park site. In this key operational role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the small afternoon team, organising picks, coordinating container unloads, and preparing for the following day’s work. Your role will cover inbound/outbound logistics, inventory control, team leadership, and ensuring compliance with all safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate daily container unloading operations.
* Lead, mentor, and manage warehouse staff, including casual unloaders, to ensure productivity and morale are high.
* Oversee inbound and outbound processes, including receiving, dispatching, stock control, and order fulfilment.
* Implement and maintain efficient warehouse processes and procedures.
* Monitor, report on, and drive performance against KPIs
* Ensure full compliance with WHS/OHS policies and safe work practices.
* Liaise with internal departments and external partners to ensure timely deliveries and effective issue resolution.
* Manage shift rosters and staff allocation based on container volumes.
* Complete daily reports and incident documentation.
About You
* 2+ years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or supply chain role
* Strong background in container operations and labour coordination
* Excellent communication and people management skills
* Highly organised with strong time management and problem-solving abilities
* Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office
* Valid forklift licences (LF required)
* Sound knowledge of WHS/OHS compliance and manual handling procedures
* Comfortable working in a physically demanding, fast-paced warehouse environment
Noting the absence of any of the above, the right attitude and recent experience will be taken into account and may be deemed valid experience.
Training for the role will be conducted during ordinary business hours until the successful applicant is compliant in APFs systems and processes (2-4 weeks).
