Overview
We are seeking an experienced Java EE System Administrator to provide operational and project support for critical production and non-production systems. This role is hands-on and technical, working across enterprise middleware platforms and Linux environments to ensure stability, performance, and service reliability.
Key Responsibilities

* North Brisbane Based
* Administer and support enterprise Java EE application servers, including WebSphere Application Server, WebLogic Application Server, and MuleSoft.
* Perform installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and ongoing control of J2EE application servers and Linux operating systems (SUSE Linux, Red Hat).
* Provide operational and project support across development, testing, and production environments.
* Support the release and deployment of Java EE applications through the full SDLC.
* Administer and support MuleSoft API platforms, ensuring reliability and performance.
* Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity, and proactively identify and resolve issues.
* Ensure systems are managed to agreed service levels, with a strong focus on data integrity and stability.
* Provide technical expertise and guidance to ensure the correct application of operational procedures.
* Communicate effectively with specialists, developers, users, and management stakeholders.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and undertake other duties as required.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience administering Java EE / J2EE application server environments.
* Strong hands-on experience with:
o WebSphere Application Server
o WebLogic Application Server
o MuleSoft (runtime and API administration)
* Solid Linux administration experience (SUSE Linux, Red Hat).
* Experience supporting application releases and deployments across multiple environments.
* Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and operational support skills.
* Ability to work effectively in both project-based and BAU operational environments.
* Experience across public and private sector environments is highly desirable.
