Job Description
Location: Melbourne, Australia (Hybrid)
This is a hybrid position primarily based in Melbourne. We’re committed to your flexibility and wellbeing, with a hybrid strategy requiring three days a week in the office, and the option to work remotely for some of your working week.
As the APAC Treasurer, you'll be the strategic leader of treasury operations in APAC. You’ll lead our Treasury front office and operations teams in Australia, influencing treasury activities across the region. This role offers the opportunity to maximize client fund interest income and navigate financial negotiations.
A role you will love
You will spearhead treasury budgeting, forecasting, and cash management activities, ensuring our financial strategies are visionary. You’ll manage all monthly treasury reporting, foster strong banking relationships, and navigate risk management with finesse.
The operations team under your leadership will ensure timely and accurate payments across the region. You’ll oversee treasury payments and guide line-of-business payments, driving operational excellence, liquidity management, and compliance with treasury policies.
This role reports directly to the Global Head of Treasury Operations and collaborates with the Corporate Treasurer in Australia, placing you at the heart of our global strategy.

Key Accountabilities
* Defining banking partners in Australia aligned with business needs and discussing strategic relationships with banks (Client funds only).
* Negotiating banking solutions based on client needs.
* Outlining and implementing strategies for managing foreign exchange risk.
* Initiating Australian trade/transactions instructions.
* Managing cash surplus and deficit, investments, and borrowings in Australia.
* Investing excess Australian cash in short and long-term facilities.
* Ensuring bank accounts are sufficiently funded for financial obligations.
* Managing financial product valuations, including derivatives, debt, and investments.
* Identifying regional risks, such as foreign exchange exposures.
* Managing a team of Analysts covering Middle and Back Office processes, including bank account management, compliance, payments, and reconciliations.
* Leading, developing, and motivating the regional Treasury team.
* Contributing to strategic projects like mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures.

Essential
* Degree or equivalent qualification/experience
* Experience in regional Treasury and regulatory landscape
* Experience developing and implementing Treasury strategies in a global organization
* Management experience
* Experience overseeing regional financial management and fiscal health

* Relevant Treasury/accounting qualifications (ACT/AMCT, CIMA/ACCA/ACA, CFA, MBA)
