Support Worker Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated professional to fill a full-time case work role in our Aboriginal community organization located in Geelong. The successful candidate will work closely with families and case workers to facilitate effective outcomes and reduce risks associated with family violence.
About the Role
* Provide essential support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and children affected by family violence.
* Work collaboratively with families, community members, and other service providers to develop and implement strategies for reducing family violence.
* Maintain accurate records and reports as required.
Key Responsibilities
* Facilitate case conferences and develop safety plans in consultation with clients.
* Provide crisis intervention and support services as needed.
* Collaborate with other agencies and organizations to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
Requirements
* Relevant qualifications and experience working with Aboriginal communities and individuals affected by family violence.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
