ONCALL SACARE is currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Accountant to join our finance team in Adelaide. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, timely month-end close, and compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Prepare and post general ledger journals including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments
* Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met
* Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
* Support preparation of financial and management reports in accordance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS)
* Assist with internal and external audit requirements, including providing audit documentation
* Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory obligations (e.g., GST, BAS, FBT)
* Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
* Support continuous improvement of financial processes, controls, and reporting systems
* Collaborate with other teams to ensure accurate cost allocations and reporting
You will bring:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
* CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent professional designation)
* Experience in a similar financial accounting role
* Strong understanding of accounting standards and principles
* Advanced Excel skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
