Job Title: Pastry Chef
Become an integral part of our culinary team as a skilled Pastry Chef. With a passion for creating exquisite pastries and desserts, you will lead daily production and oversee all operations within the bakery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead daily pastry and bakery production — croissants, cookies, cakes, and specialty pastries
* Manage and train a small, skilled production team
* Oversee dough preparation, proofing, boiling, baking, and finishing processes
* Ensure preventive maintenance and care of bakery equipment
* Contribute to new product development and seasonal launches
Requirements:
* Qualified Pastry Chef with minimum 3 years' commercial experience
* Previous manufacturing or production experience highly desired
* Solid knowledge of doughs, laminated pastries, and bakery production systems
* Highly self-motivated individual with the capability to work collaboratively with excellent organizational skills and impeccable eye for detail
* Technical skills to continually improve bakery efficiency, hygiene and quality
* Strong leadership and people management skills
* Familiar with HACCP and GMP programs, and a strong understanding of various Australian Food Safety standards
