Overview

You will play a key role in supporting how Westpac responds to incidents and crises across the Group. Working within Business Resilience, you will help coordinate and lead incident and crisis responses, chair response meetings, and provide clear updates to senior leaders when disruptions occur.

You will work closely with senior leaders in customer‐facing teams to ensure incidents are triaged and assessed, the right response teams are assembled, and services are restored safely and efficiently. You will also partner with technology, cyber, risk, and operations teams, translating technical information into transparent operational plans and actions that business teams and senior stakeholders can use to drive customer outcomes. You will support training, testing and post‐incident reviews to improve preparation and response to future events. This role includes participation in an on‐call roster to support incidents outside standard hours. The position is permanent, full‐time and based in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Adelaide, with flexibility and shared after‐hours coverage.

Responsibilities

* Assess issues, elevate risks and coordinate responses under pressure.
* Turn technical jargon into clear operational plans and actions for business teams.
* Support training, testing and post‐incident reviews.
* Participate in an on‐call roster to support incidents outside standard hours.

Qualifications

* Experience supporting or leading incident or crisis response activities.
* Confidence chairing forums and communicating with executives and senior stakeholders.
* Ability to assess issues, elevate risks and coordinate responses under pressure.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* A practical mindset focused on learning, improvement and resilience.
