This role is based at Falls Creek, the premier all-season alpine village and resort located in the Victorian High Plains. The beautiful alpine village is ski-in-ski-out during the winter months and turns into an outdoor mecca during summer. Falls Creek is part of Vail Resorts who own and operate ski areas including iconic resorts such as Perisher and Hotham in Australia as well as Park City, Beaver Creek, Whistler Blackcomb and Vail in North America.
Falls Creek has an exciting opportunity for a qualified carpenter to assist with construction and repair of building structures, assets and fixtures.
This role may be required to attend call-outs from time to time (particularly during winter operations) which will be suitably compensated as part of the remuneration package.
In a typical day in this role, you might:
* Assist in completion of capital works
* Supervise staff and delegate relevant work requests to trades
* Monitor stores stock levels and ensure appropriate quantities are on hand
* Assist in developing preventative maintenance programs for all assets
To be considered for this role, you should have:
* Qualified Carpenter or Builder
* Knowledge and experience of the building industry
* Current, unrestricted Driver's Licence
* Minor plumbing and electrical knowledge
