**The Client** 
An impressive global company specialising in international import and export cargo services supported by comprehensive warehousing and distribution capabilities. With worldwide coverage and a network of offices nationally this organisation is experiencing continued growth. 
**The Position** 
- Manage transport allocator team including permanent and casual employee rostering and staffing requirements 
- Oversee transportation of containers to and from ports and container yards 
- Ensure staff and sub-contractors receive appropriate inductions and training 
- Control truck and trailer fleet to maximise efficiencies, productivity and revenue 
- Engage with warehouse and transport administration team to ensure accurate reporting and support 
- Review and ensure adherence to driver licensing and insurance requirements 
- Liaise with Australian Border Force and Quarantine departments 
**The Requirements** 
To be successful in this role it is essential you have full working rights in Australia and possess the following skills: 
- Well developed leadership and management experience 
- Strong communication skills and professional presentation 
- Proven experience managing medium sized transport company within the freight forwarding industry 
- MS Office and CargoWise experience 
- Budgeting / P&L; experience 
- Sound understanding of Australian quarantine procedures
