McDonald's Australia, a leading quick service restaurant operator, is seeking a strategic and dynamic National Media Manager to lead our media strategy and drive impactful partnerships that connect with millions of Australians every day.

The ideal candidate will be the media expert within our marketing team, bringing thought leadership, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of evolving media consumption and customer behaviour. They will shape and manage our national sponsorship portfolio, ensuring our brand shows up meaningfully in moments that matter from sport and entertainment to community and culture.
Responsibilities
* Media Strategy & Execution: Develop integrated media plans that are customer-centric, data-driven, and commercially impactful. Partner with media agencies to optimise campaigns, drive innovation, and ensure best-in-class execution across all channels.
* Sponsorship Strategy & Activation: Own the end-to-end sponsorship strategy from identifying high-value opportunities to negotiating partnerships and overseeing activation plans. Ensure sponsorships align with brand values and deliver measurable impact.
* Agency & Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with media and sponsorship partners, internal marketing teams, and agency partners. Be the go-to expert for media and sponsorships across the business.
* Budget & Performance Management: Manage media and sponsorship budgets, oversee financial processes, and deliver performance reporting that informs future investment decisions.
Qualifications & Skills
* 10+ years' experience in media planning and buying, with strong client leadership and negotiation skills.
* Proven experience managing sponsorships—from strategy to execution.
* Expertise in digital advertising, ad-tech, mar-tech, and data-led performance analytics.
* Strong strategic thinking, relationship management, and financial acumen.
* A passion for storytelling, brand building, and creating moments that resonate with customers.
