About the role
The lecturer's primary responsibilities are to teach, facilitate learning, assess and mentor students in accordance with relevant curriculum and/or training package requirements. Lecturers also undertake professional activities and activities related to delivery.
Lecturers must keep up to date with technological and other developments in their field through ongoing professional development, to provide current information and advice to the College and industry where appropriate.
Responsibilities
Facilitate and deliver vocational education and training courses in Civil Construction Plant Operations, Civil Construction, Trenchless Technology, or equivalent.
Develop and assess learning materials, plan assessments and report student progress.
Participate in professional activities and contribute to continuous improvement of teaching practice.
Qualifications and Experience
Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations (RII30820), Certificate III in Civil Construction (RII30920) or similar, and Certificate III in Trenchless Technology (RII31619) (or equivalent) required.
At least 5 years of vocational or lecturing experience relevant to this position, with demonstrated ability to facilitate and encourage learning.
Minimum regulatory qualification: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116, or TAE40110) or a secondary teaching qualification with an Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00011, TAESS00019, or TAESS00024).
Applicants without the minimum VET credentials may still apply; the successful candidate will be required to enrol in and complete an approved training and assessment credential within two years of appointment.
